Panacloud provides a unique social experience that revolves around three primary concepts: Users, Topics and the Content. Users either create content items for others or they consume content items created by others, each content item addressing one or more topics of interest. Users may also exercise a dual role - be a publisher in context of one content item and a viewer in case of the other. They may also share these content items with their friends or the general public at large. Panacloud entwine these concepts seamlessly and take the user experience to a higher level of sensing and intuition.

Panacloud Provides Creation Tools for Many Different Content Types

Panacloud supports three different types of content to facilitate effective communication. The creation tools and runtimes for each type are entirely web based, accessible to everyone from anywhere in the world.

Panaquiz is used to evaluate the effectiveness of content to express ideas, concepts and views. The viewer of the content is asked a series of questions to evaluate his or her understanding of the topics covered. This evaluation may be used to suggest other content references and for tailoring existing content in the light of the viewer’s performance. This evaluation process provides feedback to the viewer as well as the creator and publisher of the content. It involves a three step process:
  1. Creation of a Question Bank with each question assigned to a particular topic in a user defined topic hierarchy.
  2. The next step is creation of a quiz and with multiple sections. It also requires selection of the channel from the channel hierarchy to publish the Panaquiz.
  3. Each quiz sections are assigned topics and appropriate questions are selected from these topics. Suitable time duration is prescribed for each section.
Panavideo allows you to present your thoughts, views, and knowledge in the form of synchronized multimedia movies and slideshows, using audio, video, pictures, animations and text. Once you have authored a Panavideo you can publish it on the Internet, allowing immediate and effective communication with millions. The following steps need to be completed with the help of web based tools provided in order to create and broadcast a Panavideo:
  1. Select a Panacloud Channel to broadcast the Panavideo.
  2. Create Slides with Text, Images, and Animation.
  3. Create a Composite Movie by Uploading or Recording Video and Audio Clips and Organizing their Sequence.
  4. Orchestrate, Synchronize, and Coordinate the Slides/Animations (Created in Step 1) and the Composite Movie (Composed in Step 2).
  5. Create the Table of Contents of Topics covered in the Panavideo. It will be used for deep linking and defining the relationships with other content items.
  6. Publish the Panavideo on a selected Panacloud Channel.
Panasite supports creation of documents which can be viewed in multiple modes and formats. It integrates the concept of internet websites with the traditional multipage printable documents. By separating the presentation layer from content, it makes possible generating multiple views of a single homogeneous document. Every Panasite document will have three dimensions associated with it: the content, the topics covered, and the presentation views. It will also allow for the personalization of websites according to the tastes of different viewer segments.

Panaquiz is the only content type being supported in this customer preview. Panavideo will be supported in the first version scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2011. Panasite will debut in the second release.
